In an effort to nurture Botswana’s tourist sector, the Toursim Business Coaching and Mentorship Programme (TBCMP) recently launched its fourth cohort, marking a pivotal moment in the programme’s path towards contributing to the industry’s long-term economic success. The launch was held on February 10th, 2024, at Protea Hotel By Marriot, Masa Square in Gaborone.
The launch attracted various tourism stakeholders, industry experts, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
As the brainchild of the vision, Tshepiso Oarabile Mganga, in collaboration with seasoned mentors, TBCMP aims to equip local tourism business owners with the knowledge, skills, and support networks needed to thrive in an ever-evolving global marketplace. The programme symbolises the spirit of collaboration and innovation that defines Botswana’s tourism landscape.
Programmes Founder Tshepiso Mganga, gave an overview of the 4th Cohort of TBCMP. Her presentation was nothing short of inspiring; her words resonated with authenticity and purpose, setting the stage for a journey of empowerment and growth in the tourism sector.
Enlightening presentations were delivered by esteemed facilitators, each offering a unique perspective on the opportunities in Botswana’s tourism industry. Topics ranged from sustainable tourism practices and destination marketing to customer experience, tourism value chain and distribution channels, providing participants with a comprehensive toolkit for success in the competitive tourism landscape.
