The International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR 2023) conference was officially opened by His Excellency President of the Republic of Botswana, Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi, on October 17, 2023, at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC) in Gaborone, Botswana.
IAGR2023 is the world’s leading conference for global gaming regulators and industry thought leaders to collaborate towards a secure, vibrant, and responsible industry. This conference, held under the theme βBringing Ideas Together: The Exchange of Excellence and Innovation in Regulatory Practiceβ is a significant event in the world of gaming regulation and has brought gaming regulators from various countries to the beautiful country of Botswana, courtesy of the Gambling Authority.
During his keynote address, His Excellency Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi stated, ” IAGR President Mr. Jason Lane, I am truly delighted and honoured that the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) chose Botswana to host the conference this year. This is a welcome gesture. The Government of Botswana continues to make our beautiful country a place for all to visit and feel welcomed and, indeed, a country to do business in. Therefore, your selection of Botswana as the site for the IAGR Conference 2023 is highly significant, as it coincides with the governmentβs goal to transform our beautiful Botswana into a Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism powerhouse.”
